An idea you’d like to share?
A project you want to present to others?
Then the Carinthian Linux Day is just the right place for you!

The Call for Participation is now open – we can’t wait to see your submission!
Whether it’s a workshop, discussion round, talk, presentation, or info booth – there’s a perfect format for everyone.

Details:

Workshops

Workshops usually last about two hours, but you’re welcome to suggest a different duration in the “Notes for the organizing team” section.

Talks

On Friday, the stage will be open for exciting talks.
Talk durations: 30 or 60 minutes.

You’re welcome to propose multiple topics – if there are many submissions, we’ll choose the one that best fits the overall program.

Lightning Talks

Short and snappy 5-minute presentations – perfect for sharing an idea or project spontaneously.
You can submit them in advance or present them on site.

Info Booths

Present your community or initiative at an info booth and connect directly with visitors.

Process & Language

You’ll be informed about the acceptance of your submission no later than 5 days before the event.
Contributions can be held in German or English – just make sure that slides and spoken language match.

License & Publication

Summaries, descriptions, slides, and videos of the talks will be published.
By default, the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license applies.

If you prefer a different license, please indicate this when submitting your proposal.

Compensation

The Carinthian Linux Day is voluntarily organized and mainly financed through partnerships.
Therefore, we’re unable to offer financial compensation for contributions – your participation is voluntary but invaluable! ❤️

Social Event

On Friday evening, we’ll wrap up the day together with speakers and organizers in a relaxed atmosphere.
The exact location will be announced soon – you’re warmly invited to join us!

💡 The CLD organizing team is looking forward to your submission – and to an inspiring Carinthian Linux Day 2025! 🙌
